Stocks with a Annual Dividend of $4 or more
Stocks that pay a high dividend are always of interest to dividend investors. The annual dividend doesn’t always mean its a good stock to buy, but its appealing to many investors to know that they can be earning $4 or more for each share they own annually.
There are only a few stocks that I’m aware of that pay out $4 or more per share per year. Stock values and financial data listed below is as of 3/26/10.
Great Northern Iron Ore Properties – GNI
Great Northern Iron Ore Properties pays an annual dividend of $8 per share giving it just over a 8% yield.
BP Prudhoe Bay Royalty Trust – BPT
BP Prudhoe Bay has the biggest annual dividend that I’ve seen at $14.45 per share. It has a high yield of 15.5% to go along with the high dividend.
Hatteras Financial Corp – HTS
Hatteras Financial pays an annual dividend of $4.8 which gives it a yield of 17.6%.
Oneok Partners – OKS
Oneok Partners pays a annual dividend of $4.40 per share giving it a yield of 7.3%.
Kinder Morgan Energy Partners – KMP
KMP pays a annual dividend of $4.20 per share which gives is a 6.5% yield.
High annual dividends don’t always make good investments so do your homework. I personally like to buy dividend stocks that trade at a higher value and are more likely to be bought by investment companies and mutual funds. Stocks with high annual dividends tend to fit into that mold however I do not currently own any of the stocks listed in this post.
